Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Pastry & Bakery Intern to join our kitchen team. This internship offers hands-on experience in preparing desserts, pastries, and baked goods in a professional hotel kitchen environment. You'll work closely with experienced chefs and gain valuable skills in food preparation, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts
• Support daily mise-en-place and kitchen setup for pastry and bakery operations
• Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry and bakery area
• Learn and apply food safety, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Participate in inventory checks and stock rotation
• Assist in plating and decorating desserts for buffet or à la carte service
• Help ensure proper use and maintenance of bakery tools and kitchen equipment

• Exposure to hotel kitchen operations and professional culinary techniques

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a culinary, hospitality, or pastry arts program (or recent graduate)

• Eagerness to learn and a strong passion for pastry and baking
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility with schedule (shift work, weekends, holidays)
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
