About the Role

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of neurodiverse young adults? We are looking for an empathetic, driven, and collaborative Job Coaching Intern to join our team.

In this role, you will help neurodiverse young adults (including individuals with Autism, ADHD, and other learning or developmental differences develop essential employability skills, overcome psychological and social barriers, and transition smoothly into sustainable careers. You will work closely with internal teams, caregivers, schools, and corporate employers to facilitate a truly inclusive workplace ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Assessment & Training Support

• Readiness Evaluation: Assist in participant intake by conducting assessments on candidates' work readiness.
• Coherent Planning: Collaborate with technical job coaches and allied professionals to develop individualised training plans and behavioural modification frameworks.
• Skills Training: Help trainees build essential on-the-job skills, including communication, self-management, workplace etiquette, and social skills.

2. On-Site Job Coaching & Transition Support

• Worksite Coaching: Provide hands-on support to trainees at their workplaces to help them fulfill job tasks and navigate daily challenges.
• Transition Preparation: Guide trainees through workplace familiarisation, including travel training, building orientation, and introductions to future colleagues.
• Visual Aids & Protocols: Help design detailed instructions, visual schedules, and communication protocols to support trainees within their work teams.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Act as a Liaison: Serve as a bridge of communication between the trainee, corporate supervisors, co-workers, caregivers, and schools to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment.
• Workplace Adaptation: Partner with employer HR departments and supervisors to conduct neurodiversity awareness training and advise on practical workplace adaptations.
• Community Building: Help trainees build a robust network of support within and outside the workplace (including fellow trainees and volunteers) for long-term job sustainability.

4. Monitoring & Evaluation

• Progress Tracking: Monitor trainee performance during training and on-site, collect observation data, and provide feedback to update and refine intervention programs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Field of Study: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Counselling, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Relevant Experience: Prior experience (or a strong interest) in teaching, coaching, mentoring, or counselling neurodiverse individuals is highly advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders (from corporate HR to anxious caregivers).
• High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills to manage behavioural challenges calmly.
• Strong organisational skills to keep track of deadlines and project statuses
• Logistics: Ability to travel to various partner corporate sites for on-site coaching.
