Accounting Internship Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Intern
Location: Pusat Borong Matahari (Shah Alam) Sdn Bhd – Wisma SSW NO.1 (PT598) Jalan Pengkalan Kundang 27/30 Seksyen ************* Shah Alam Selangor

Department: Finance / Accounting
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our Finance team. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and day-to-day accounting operations, providing valuable exposure to real-world accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with data entry and daily bookkeeping tasks
• Help prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor account balances
• Assist in monthly closing and reporting processes
• Organize and maintain financial files and records
• Support audit preparation and documentation
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debit/credit, journals, ledgers)
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Autocount, UBS, QuickBooks) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative

Pay: RM500.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
