Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Internship placement required by the university or college.
- Basic knowledge of construction contracts, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, CostX, or other QS software is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to learn and work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and contract documentation.
- Support cost estimation, budgeting, and quantity take-offs for construction projects.
- Assist in preparing progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
- Conduct site measurements, site valuations, and quantity verification.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers regarding project progress and cost matters.
- Assist in monitoring project costs and ensuring expenditure is within the approved budget.
- Prepare cost reports, variation orders, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of project records.
- Participate in site visits to gain practical exposure to construction progress and contract administration.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
