About iMotorbike

iMotorbike is Southeast Asia's leading e-commerce platform for buying and selling pre-owned motorcycles, with operations across Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. We offer a fast, secure, and hassle-free experience backed by a 170-point inspection process, warranty, and a full suite of services including insurance, road tax renewal, and financing — all in one platform. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented HR Intern to support our People team.

Role Overview

As an HR Intern, you'll get hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of HR operations — from attendance and workforce administration to recruitment and onboarding. You'll work closely with the HR team and gain practical experience with real HR systems and processes used to support both office and part-time sales staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support attendance tracking and reconciliation for part-time and full-time staff, including data verification and resolving discrepancies
  • Help maintain and update HR/workforce tracking spreadsheets (e.g., attendance logs, schedules, leave records)
  • Support the use of Lark (Attendance, Base, Bot, Approval flows) for HR workflows, including testing new processes as they're rolled out
  • Assist with recruitment coordination — scheduling interviews, liaising with candidates, and maintaining applicant records
  • Support onboarding for new hires (preparing documents, welcome kits, system access requests)
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital HR filing systems, ensuring confidentiality of employee records
  • Assist with preparing HR reports and tracking key metrics (headcount, attendance trends, turnover)
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities and internal communications
  • Take on ad hoc projects related to HR process improvement and automation

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (basic formulas; comfort with formulas for time/date or leave calculations is a plus)
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus, given regional operations)
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive employee information
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable learning new software tools (e.g., Lark, Google Workspace)
  • Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 3 months

Nice to Have

  • Prior exposure to HR systems, attendance management, or recruitment coordination
  • Interest in HR process automation or workflow tools (e.g., bots, approval systems)
  • Interest in the motorcycle/automotive industry

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience across core HR functions at a fast-growing regional company
  • Exposure to real-world workforce attendance reconciliation and automation systems
  • Mentorship from the HR team
  • Internship allowance and a certificate of completion upon successful completion

Pay: RM500.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Professional development

Work Location: In person
