Job Summary

Kodecoon Academy is seeking Robotics and/orCoding Instructors with experience bringing teams to compete in competitions.The ideal candidate will develop students teams to participate in roboticsand/or coding competitions by equipping them the necessary technical knowledge,creative thinking skills and collaborative spirit necessary to compete.

Responsibilities

  • Guide students to prepare effectively for competitions including the National Robotics Competition (NRC), First Lego League, Coding Olympics, etc.
  • Coach students in designing, constructing and programming robotics and coding solutions for multiple competitions.
  • Encourage critical thinking and presentation skills through the entire competition cycle.
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to support both student growth and parent awareness.
  • Work closely with the education team to ensure training objectives, competition requirements and developmental milestones are met.

Requirements

  • Prior experience teaching and managing children in a classroom, enrichment, or educational setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Scratch is preferred
  • Proficiency in educational robotics platforms, including LEGO Education SPIKE, LEGO Education Essential, and VEX Robotics, is required
  • Familiarity with one or more robotics competition formats, judging criteria, and competition rulesets is essential
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or participating in robotics, coding, STEM, or innovation competitions is required
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify problems and develop structured solutions
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop students' confidence, resilience, and independent learning habits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and adapt to learners of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels
