Position: IT POS Support Engineer (1-Month Project)

Location: Pandan Avenue

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

About the Role

We are looking for hands-on IT POS Support Engineers to support a short-term deployment project for retail point-of-sale (POS) systems. This role involves staging, installation, testing, and on-site deployment of POS equipment to ensure smooth implementation across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform staging and configuration of POS devices, including asset tagging and software installation.

• Conduct functionality testing of POS applications and hardware before deployment.

• Install, replace, and commission POS systems at customer sites.

• Set up and manage hardware components such as barcode scanners, card payment terminals, cash drawers, and related peripherals.

• Perform cabling and connectivity checks to ensure systems are fully operational.

• Coordinate closely with logistics and on-site teams to ensure timely deployment.

• Provide support for island-wide deployment activities, including night installation schedules when required.

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues during deployment.

• Maintain accurate deployment and asset records.

Requirements

• Experience in POS deployment, IT hardware support, desktop support, field service engineering, or retail technology support.

• Hands-on experience with hardware installation, cabling, configuration, and testing.

• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic troubleshooting.

• Able to travel across Singapore for deployment activities.

• Proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
