Accounting Intern
Location: Johor Baru

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern to support our Accounts Department team with daily accounting operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable and general accounting practices. The successful candidate will gain practical exposure to accounting systems and business finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare and maintain accounting records, files and documentation.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Help process invoices, expense reports and payment records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets and analyses.
- Verify the accuracy of financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Perform administrative duties related to the accounting department.
- Support audits and compliance-related activities as required.
- Carry out other finance and accounting tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, project or coursework related to accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and bookkeeping practices.
