Job Summary

As a member of the IT Service Continuity, it is essential to ensure that the backup site is operational and ready to be utilized in the event of unforeseen circumstances within the organization. This includes coordinating IT Disaster Recovery events, conducting company-wide call tree exercises, and collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Event Coordination:

• Learn the role of a floor manager on the event of IT Disaster Recovery Drill, Call Tree and Tabletop Exercise.
• Learn about on-site and off-site coordination, handling logistics and ensure smooth event operations.
• Gain experience in planning and organizing events from conception to execution.

Liaison with Stakeholders:

• Get a chance to communicate with stakeholders from various countries and departments.
• Learn how to facilitate meetings, trainings and discussions to gather requirements and feedback.

Learning Opportunities:

• Gain hands-on experience in event management and coordination.
• Develop communication and interpersonal skills through stakeholder engagement.
• Understand the dynamics of managing live events and troubleshooting in real-time.
• Learn about BCM principles and their application in event planning.

Intern initiative:

• Collaborate with the IT team to explore and implement modern tools and automation techniques for IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) drills.
• Assist in designing a streamlined process that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of ITDR drills.
• Present findings and recommendations to management, showcasing potential improvements and benefits.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Curious about how IT teams operate and keen to learn about IT Service Management.
• Interest in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery concepts.
• Enjoys communicating and working with people, including teams from different countries and cultures.
• Positive attitude, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks, while also enjoying teamwork and collaboration.
