We are looking for motivated and proactive Cybersecurity Interns to join our team. The intern will be exposed to real-world cybersecurity operations involving fintech platforms, trading systems, cloud infrastructure, web applications, APIs, and digital asset platforms.

This internship provides hands-on experience in security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, API security testing, system hardening, and security documentation within a fast-paced fintech and technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily security monitoring and log reviews
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on web applications, APIs, and servers
• Assist in penetration testing and security testing activities
• Test authentication, authorization, and session security
• Identify security weaknesses and recommend improvements
• Review suspicious activities, failed login attempts, and access logs
• Assist in API security testing using tools such as Postman and OWASP ZAP
• Conduct basic server and infrastructure security checks
• Help document vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigation plans
• Support implementation of cybersecurity best practices
• Prepare daily and weekly cybersecurity reports
• Work closely with developers to improve application security
• Research latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
• Assist in maintaining security SOPs and documentation

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in: Cybersecurity/Computer Science/Information Security/Network Security/Software Engineering or related fields
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices
• Familiar with web applications, APIs, and networking fundamentals
• Basic knowledge of Linux and server environments is an advantage
• Familiar with tools such as: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Postman, Nmap, Wireshark, OpenVAS or similar tools
• Understanding of common vulnerabilities such as: SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, Broken Authentication, IDOR
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Able to work independently and in a team environment

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: RM800.00 - RM900.00 per month
