JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Senior Freelance Visual Merchandiser (Retail & Campaign)

Department: Marketing & Business Development

Work Location: HQ MommyHana + Outlet Visits Across Malaysia (when required)

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure all MommyHana outlets and kiosks maintain attractive, organized, and sales-driven visual merchandising standards that enhance customer experience, strengthen brand identity, and support retail sales growth through effective outlet decoration, product arrangement, and promotional campaign execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Outlet Visual Merchandising

• Arrange and maintain attractive visual displays across all MommyHana outlets and kiosks.
• Plan product placement based on hero products, fast-moving items, new arrivals, seasonal campaigns and customer shopping flow
• Ensure all outlets reflect a premium, family-friendly, and child-attractive retail environment.

2. Campaign & Promotional Display

• Plan and execute visual merchandising setups for promotional campaigns such as Back To School, Year End Sale, School Holiday Campaign, Ramadan & Raya Campaign, New Product Launches, Warehouse Sale, Roadshows & Retail Events
• Prepare and arrange campaign decorations, promotional displays, and thematic product setups.
• Ensure all promotional materials such as buntings, posters, wobblers, price tags, signage Shelf talkers are installed neatly and strategically.

3. Product Display & Sales Support

• Support outlet sales growth through strategic product placement, cross-selling displays, bundle displays, impulse buying sections
• Ensure products are displayed in a way that is attractive, accessible, and easy for customers to understand.
• Highlight MommyHana’s key products effectively within the outlet.

4. Outlet Decoration & Customer Experience

• Assist in beautifying outlets according to MommyHana’s brand identity and campaign themes.
• Create a retail environment that is cheerful, interactive, family-friendly, Instagram/TikTok friendly
• Assist in setting up photo corners, demo areas, or customer engagement spaces when required.

5. Standardization & Maintenance

• Ensure all outlets follow company visual merchandising guidelines and standards.
• Conduct regular outlet visual audits and reporting.
• Ensure displays remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing at all times.
• Support outlet teams in maintaining daily visual standards.

6. Coordination & Execution

• Work closely with, marketing team, retail operation team, outlet supervisors, printing vendors, mall management
• Assist in new outlet, kiosk, roadshow, and booth setup whenever required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Retail Design or related fields
• 3-5 years of experience in retail visual merchandising, outlet/kiosk setup, promotional display and event setup
• Portfolio showcasing previous retail visual merchandising work is required
• Experience in retail activation, seasonal campaigns, and roadshow setup is an advantage
• Able to independently manage project execution with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of customer flow, retail psychology, and display optimisation
• Experience in kids, family, education, lifestyle, toys, or retail brands is highly preferred
• Own transport and flexibility to travel when required

SKILLS

• Strong creativity and visual sense
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Able to work according to campaign timelines
• Proficient in Canva, Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop (added advantage)
• Willing to travel to outlets across Malaysia when required
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
