Responsible for monitoring and ensuring all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) requirements at construction site are complied with according to company policy and local authority regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Conduct site safety inspection and identify unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
- Ensure all workers wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct toolbox meeting and safety briefing before work commencement.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records.
- Assist in investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Ensure machinery, equipment, and tools are safely operated.
- Coordinate with project team, subcontractors, and workers regarding safety matters.
- Monitor housekeeping and site cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, CIDB regulations, and company safety policies.
- Attend safety meetings and submit safety reports to management.
- Stop any unsafe work activities that may cause danger to workers or public.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
- Valid Yellow Book / Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–3 years working experience in construction industry.
- Knowledge in OSHA, FMA, and construction safety regulations.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
