Description
Support the execution and food preparation in accordance to the Executive Chef's recipes and specifications.
Ability to execute different cooking methods, processes and techniques with a variety of ingredients and equipment.
Ensure the handling of raw ingredient is in line with food hygiene and safety guidelines.
Support in the preparation of desserts such as, cakes, cookies, pies, bread, etc.
Assist in decorating the pastries using different icings, toppings, to ensure they are aligned with Pastry Chef's direction.
Monitor kitchen ingredients and stocks and inform the kitchen team if orders needs to be placed.
Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
Ensure the food preparation and handling is aligned with the food hygiene and standards guidelines set out by the restaurant.
Any other duties as assigned by the management or your manager.
Requirements
Prior work experience in a Fine Dining restaurant.
Familiar with basic cooking methods and techniques.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks assigned.
