Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior Physiotherapists in conducting comprehensive functional and physical assessments, specifically focusing on geriatric mobility, gait analysis, and fall risk screening.
• Under direct supervision, execute individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, basic manual therapy, and balance training to improve patient strength and coordination.
• Assist in educating families and caregivers on prescribed home exercise programs (HEPs), safe handling techniques, and basic posture corrections.
• Learn to identify, fit, and instruct patients on the correct use of mobility aids (e.g., walkers, canes) and other assistive devices.
• Support the clinical team in tracking patient milestones and drafting progress notes, learning to modify exercises based on real-time patient response.
• Participate in clinical rounds and meetings with nurses and caregivers to understand the holistic, patient-centered care approach.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation under the guidance of a supervisor, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Foundational understanding of age-related conditions (e.g., Osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s, Stroke) and a keen interest in evidence-based geriatric rehabilitation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate empathetically with elderly patients who may have cognitive or sensory impairments.
• A proactive learner who is compassionate, patient, and deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly.

Pay: RM500.00 - RM700.00 per month
