Job Description
Responsibilities
As a web developer intern, you will work closely with our lean team, focusing on front-end e-commerce requirements and the Shopify platform.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Optimise and maintain our website, ensuring it meets performance, brand, and accessibility guidelines
- Conduct A/B tests and optimisation experiments to test different designs and improve scalability
- Develop new user-facing features to meet business requirements
- Assist with website technical management, troubleshooting and resolving existing code issues
- Collaborate with our UX and web designer to ensure the feasibility of designs
- Build reusable code and libraries
Requirements
- Relevant work experience or course of study in Computer Science or related fields
- Proficiency in the latest web tool sets including HTML5 and CSS
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS
- Strong command of asynchronous programming
- Experience with responsive design and media
- Understanding of web optimisation techniques, SEO, Accessibility, Best Practices
- Able to start full-time from May 2023 (for 3 months at least)
Good-to-Haves
- Proficiency in Shopify theming, scripting and the liquid language
- Knowledge of web & mobile analytics tools
- Experience in e-commerce or startup environment
