(2) Join Our Team as a Senior Volunteer Manager!

The Organisation

Blossom Seeds is an IPC-registered charity focused on eldercare in Sembawang. While our staff strength is modest, we serve a potential pool of 5,000 seniors with the help and support of our many volunteers.

We seek a dynamic leader to head up our volunteer management team consisting of three people. Reporting to the CEO, this position helps to bring clarity and collaboration in the organisation’s role as a “SG CARES” centre for Sembawang.

What difference can you make?
Focus areas include building sustainable community partnerships, fostering corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and attracting retaining and developing volunteers to enable the organisation to fulfil its mission: to serve seniors with love and care. The position also entails overseeing the planning and execution of outreach and fundraising events.

What will you need to thrive in the role?

  • A tertiary degree not limited to eldercare or social services with 8 or more years of supervisory experience would ideally be the platform for the successful candidate.
  • Leadership, partnership & event management experience are also essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to various stakeholders are vital
  • Digital literacy including being adept with social media platforms has to be of a high order.
  • Having a genuine caring disposition for seniors will go a long way to win over volunteers to the cause.
  • Multilingual capability would be advantageous
  • Problem-solving & decision-making skills and to apply them effectively to navigate ambiguous situations would be useful.
  • Being prepared to work beyond standard work hours including weekends

(3) Programme Executive (Active Ageing Centre)

What difference can you make?

The Programme Executive supports seniors to adopt an active lifestyle and pre-empt their social isolation. Additionally, the role refers seniors to appropriate community care and social assistance when necessary. With Age Well SG initiatives, you work with primary care physicians (e.g. family doctor) to empower seniors to chart their own journey towards healthy and active lifestyles.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment of seniors to the Active Ageing Centre
  • Plan and implement programmes and activities that seniors find interesting and beneficial.
  • Monitor and support seniors to age well in the community
  • Engage and collaborate with community partners in meaningfully engaging seniors
  • Recruit, support & coach volunteers as they play an important role in our ability to reach and engage the many seniors in our area of responsibility.
  • Administrative and logistical support for activities and events

Pre-requisites:

Passionate about working with seniors and volunteers.

Good communication and presentation skills

Good organising and administrative skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Related qualification in working with the elderly or in the social service sector, would be an advantage.

Willingness to work beyond official work hours including weekends.

(4) Human Resources & Administration Manager

About Us

We are a small, dynamic and fast growing social service organisation, with IPC status, focused on delivering, with love and care, community-based services for seniors in the Sembawang area. We seek a proactive and highly motivated HR professional who can be the first point of contact for all HR matters, helping to shape our workplace culture and support our continued growth.

About the Role

You will be the heart of our people operations, managing the entire staff lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding. This hands-on role requires a HR generalist who not only has a strong grasp of all facets of sound HR leadership but who is also conversant with the need to comply at all times with local laws and other directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions and posting adverts to screening candidates, co-ordinate and conduct interviews, curate job offers and facilitate a seamless on-boarding experience.

  • Staff Relations & Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment. Champion the values of the organisation to embed them in daily behaviour of all leaders and staff. Handle employee inquiries, conflicts, and disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee payroll processing, manage employee benefits programs (health insurance, leave administration, etc.), and ensure compensation policies and practices are competitive in the sector we serve and compliant with labour laws.

  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring all company practices comply with employment legislation and regulations.

  • Performance Management & People Development: Support performance review processes and coordinate training and development initiatives to help the team grow.

  • Organisation Design: Advise and assist in structuring the organisation to enable desired efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Administration: Maintain accurate employee records (both hard copy and HRIS) and manage general office administration duties as required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of proven generalist experience in an HR role, preferably within a small or fast-paced organisation.

  • Sound knowledge of Singapore labour legislation and regulations

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
