Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts using SIEM platforms such as QRadar.
• Support vulnerability assessment activities and help track remediation progress.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participate in cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including internal phishing simulation exercises.
• Review security logs, perform basic event correlation, and assist with incident reporting tasks.
• Conduct preliminary threat intelligence research and provide support during incident response activities when required.
• Maintain and update documentation related to security operations, processes, and system configurations.
• Assist in the evaluation and testing of security tools and technologies under supervision.

Job Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and general security principles.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux, including basic command-line usage.
• Exposure to or interest in security technologies such as SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Self-motivated, inquisitive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 4-6 months

Pay: RM700.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
