Role Description

This is an operational and administrative support role for an Assistant Property Manager, responsible for assisting in the daily management of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. The role focuses on supporting property operations, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and administrative processes to ensure efficient property performance and tenant satisfaction.

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for supporting property management activities such as lease administration, tenant communication, occupancy tracking, and record maintenance. This includes responding to tenant inquiries, handling service requests, and ensuring that issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

A key responsibility of the role is coordinating property maintenance and repair activities. The Assistant Property Manager communicates with maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to schedule repairs, monitor work progress, and ensure property standards and safety requirements are maintained.

The role also involves supporting financial and administrative operations, including assisting with rent collection, invoice processing, expense tracking, and maintaining accurate property records. The Assistant Property Manager may help prepare reports, organize documentation, and support budgeting or operational reviews.

In addition, the position includes conducting property inspections, monitoring compliance with safety and building regulations, and assisting with vendor coordination and contract administration where required. The role may also involve supporting move-in and move-out processes and ensuring properties are well-maintained and operationally efficient.

The Assistant Property Manager works closely with tenants, vendors, maintenance teams, and management staff to support smooth daily operations and positive tenant experiences.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication ability, and the capacity to manage multiple operational tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Experience in property management, real estate administration, or facility operations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle tenant inquiries and resolve operational issues professionally
  • Basic knowledge of lease administration and property operations
  • Experience coordinating maintenance requests and vendor services
  • Understanding of budgeting, invoicing, and administrative record management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Familiarity with property management software or administrative systems is an advantage
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and building compliance requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with tenants, contractors, and management teams
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Diploma or degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field preferred
