Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience in Xero or ERP / Accounting system preferred
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills. Willingness to be hands-on.
  • University degree in accounting. Suitable candidates with a university degree in finance with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • At least eight years of financial/project management/accounting experience within an international organization, or multinational company. With experience in GL and AP.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate and timely day-to-day accounting which includes invoicing, payment processing, payroll and cash management;
  • Ensures that a complete and accurate monthly trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and notes to accounts are completed on a timely basis (full set of account)
  • Be familiar with management reporting and statutory reporting requirements and ensures that monthly closing is done accurately and timely according to the schedule.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure all payments are checked and processed accurately and timely; Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to reconcile discrepancies in payments, invoices and receipts;
  • Co-ordinate and assist in finance administrative matters which includes banking matters, maintenance of vendor and customer database etc.
  • Ensures accounting records are prepared by generally accepted accounting principles, local laws and regulations and company policies;
  • Prepares and presents monthly management reports, variance analysis and cash flow projections to Management / Directors.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and ensure the implementation of strong internal controls within the organization;
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies (such as tax agencies etc) to ensure compliance with local statutory laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with the auditors on annual audits and address any accounting and control issues proactively.
  • Responsible for the annual budgeting cycle. Monitor and work with internal stakeholders to ensure the income and cost are delivered by the approved budgets.
  • Continually reviews business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency;
  • Coordinates company secretary matters.
  • Performs other appropriate duties upon request by the Director or line manager.
