Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of working experience in construction quantity surveying is preferred.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for junior positions.
Basic knowledge of Malaysian construction contracts, measurement methods, and tender procedures.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with BQ preparation, progress claims, VO, and final accounts is an advantage.
Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.
Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel to project sites when required.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Assist in tender submissions and contract administration.
Measure and verify site work progress for progress claims and payment certificates.
Prepare and monitor subcontractor claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
Track project costs and assist in cost control and budgeting.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors on quantity and costing matters.
Maintain proper documentation for contracts, claims, purchase orders, and payment records.
Assist in evaluating material quantities and procurement requirements.
Support the Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS in all pre-contract and post-contract activities.
Ensure all measurements and claims comply with contract requirements and company procedures.
