Education

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field

• Coursework or interest in child/developmental psychology preferred

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication in English; Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia an advantage

• Comfortable using WhatsApp Business, basic spreadsheets, and social media platforms

• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously

• Comfortable interacting with parents and young children in a clinical setting

Attributes

• Empathetic, patient, and calm under pressure — especially when handling parent enquiries or assisting during sessions

• Discreet and trustworthy with confidential patient and family information

• Proactive — follows up without being prompted, flags issues early

• Willing to learn and take direction from supervising clinicians

Availability

• 5 days per week, consistent schedule preferred

• Able to commit to the full internship period without early withdrawal

Lead Management & Customer Engagement

• Respond to general enquiries via WhatsApp and social media under direct supervision — does not provide clinical advice independently

• Record and update enquiry and referral databases, maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient and parent information

• Follow up with prospective parents regarding appointment scheduling

• Assist in collecting patient testimonials and Google Reviews

• Escalate any sensitive, urgent, or clinical enquiries immediately to the supervising clinician

Business & Community Development

• Assist in organising workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns

• Support relationship-building with schools, preschools, and healthcare partners under guidance

• Support marketing events and exhibitions

• Collect parent feedback and satisfaction surveys

• Participate in community outreach programmes

Clinical Support

• Assist therapists with session logistics and material preparation under direct supervision — does not include independent delivery of clinical interventions or assessments

• Prepare assessment materials, toys, questionnaires, and testing equipment

• Prepare therapy rooms before and after sessions

• Organise and maintain therapy resources and assessment materials

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all clinical and patient information
