Prospect and generate leads through cold outreach, field visits, referrals, and market research to build a healthy pipeline of potential merchants.
Proposition to merchant decision-makers, addressing objections and tailoring solutions to merchant needs.
Negotiate and close commercial agreements within guidelines provided by the Merchant Acquisition Manager, ensuring mutually beneficial partners.
Responsibilities
2+ years of experience in business development, sales, merchant acquisition, or a related field — ideally within e-commerce, quick-commerce, FMCG, retail, or fintech.
Proven hunter mentality with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales/acquisition targets.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently pitch to merchant owners and decision-makers.
Self-motivated and resilient, comfortable with high-volume outreach and rejection as part of the sales process.
Good understanding of the retail or quick-commerce landscape, with curiosity about market trends and competitor activity.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively for in-person merchant meetings and field-based prospecting.
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and basic data tools (Excel/Google Sheets) for pipeline management and reporting.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
