Requirements

Position : Operations Assistant, Air Freight

Industry: Transport and Logistics

Work Location: KLIA

Work arrangement: Onsite Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Employment Type : 6 months contract with PERSOL

Salary: RM3,000 - RM3,500 (based on experience & skills)

What We’re Looking For

  • SPM / STPM or Diploma in relevant field

  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in air freight cargo operations

  • Knowledge of import operations & customs procedures is an advantage

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Service-oriented, detail-focused, and able to multitask

  • Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders (internal & external)

Responsibilities

About the Role

In this role, you will support and oversee daily air import operations, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely movement of freight while delivering excellent customer service. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and working closely with multiple stakeholders, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage daily air import operations, documentation & customs processes

  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (Operations, Warehouse, Land Transport & Customs)

  • Work with global partners, vendors, and suppliers to arrange shipments

  • Monitor shipment progress and ensure timely delivery to customers

  • Update system entries and tracking (ARR/NFD/DRB/CCD/POD) in Tango

  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve operational issues

  • Support quotation follow-ups with Sales/BD prior to shipment arrangements

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and customer requirements

  • Escalate issues to management when necessary
