Requirements

Position : Air Freight Export Customer Service

Industry: Transport and Logistics

Work Location: Solaria Square, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang

Work arrangement: Onsite

Employment Type : 6 months contract with PERSOL

Salary: RM2,800 - RM3,300 (based on experience & skills)

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma in Business, Administrative Management, or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding

  • Strong phone handling skills with excellent communication and active listening abilities

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage changing operational demands

  • Service‑oriented mindset with good interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable with computer systems and record maintenance

  • PowerPoint skills are an added advantage

  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays, when required

Responsibilities

Job Overview

This position is responsible for responding to inbound calls, emails and make outbound call as necessary to resolve customer concerns or inquiries. Managing and coordinating pick-ups, deliveries, observing timelines and maintain high customer satisfaction. This individual must have well-rounded computer skills as well as maintain the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and outbound communications to resolve customer inquiries and concerns

  • Address billing issues, service requests, and general customer enquiries professionally and efficiently

  • Coordinate and monitor pick‑ups, deliveries, and flight uplift, ensuring timelines are met

  • Schedule delivery and pick‑up appointments with shippers and receivers, including managing cancelled or rejected orders

  • Investigate issues, propose solutions within authority, and escalate to relevant stakeholders when needed

  • Follow up proactively to ensure issues are fully resolved within agreed timelines

  • Maintain accurate customer records, documentation, and communication logs

  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with customers through clear and interactive communication

  • Collaborate closely with drivers, warehouse teams, stations, and internal departments

  • Support the Customer Service Manager to ensure consistent service quality

  • Represent the Air Freight Export team in billing‑related meetings with partners, customers, and internal teams
