Requirements
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a closely related discipline.
Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must be comfortable working in a pet-friendly retail and dining environment.
Willingness to work on a shift roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities
Culinary & Food Preparation
Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, chopping, portioning, and storing ingredients.
Learn and execute cooking techniques to prepare menu items according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure high-quality presentation and consistency of all dishes before service.
Hygiene & Kitchen Safety
Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across all kitchen stations.
Compliance with local food safety and hazard regulations (HACCP principles).
Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items to prevent cross-contamination.
Operational Support
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock and ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to the Head Chef or Supervisor.
Participate in kitchen deep-cleaning routines and waste management procedures.
Support front-of-house café operations and guest service when operational needs arise.
