Job Description

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • Junior: Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of experience. Audit firm background is a plus.

    • Senior: 3–5 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm or handling full sets of accounts.

  • Technical Knowledge:Familiarity with accounting software (e.g.,SQL, AutoCount, Xero, or Million) and strong proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Standards: Good understanding of Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (MPERS) and MFRS.

  • Language: Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage (to deal with Mandarin-speaking clients).

  • Soft Skills: High level of integrity, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain full sets of accounts (General Ledger, AR, AP, Bank Reconciliation).

  • Management Reporting: Prepare timely monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial statements.

  • Compliance:Assist in the preparation of tax computations and ensure compliance withMPERS / MFRS standards.

  • SST Filing: Prepare and submit Sales & Service Tax (SST) returns for clients.

  • Liaison: Coordinate with clients to gather financial data and assist external auditors during year-end audits.

Specific for Senior Role:

  • Review the work of Junior Executives to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Handle complex accounting issues and consolidated financial statements.

  • Advise clients on accounting workflows and internal controls
