Role Description

This is a contract, on-site SNOC Support Engineer role based in Cyberjaya. The SNOC Support Engineer monitors data centre and network infrastructure, responds to alerts and ensures system availability and performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving incidents, escalating issues according to defined procedures and documenting all activities in ticketing tools. The role involves providing technical and customer support to clients, including handling inquiries, updates and incident communications in a clear and professional manner. The SNOC Support Engineer collaborates with internal teams to implement standard operating procedures, supports maintenance activities and contributes to continuous improvement of monitoring and support processes. Shift work, including nights, weekends and public holidays, may be required to support 24/7 operations.


Qualifications

  • Good technical support capabilities, including troubleshooting and technical support skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with solid Customer Support and Customer Service skills, including clear communication and timely follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of Operating Systems (such as Windows and Linux) and basic networking concepts relevant to data centre and cloud environments.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment, including shift rotations, with attention to detail and adherence to incident, change and escalation procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to create accurate incident reports and operational documentation.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation or similar credentials are an advantage.
  • Relevant diploma or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CCOA, and BTL1/2 is highly recommended.
  • Experience in a NOC, SNOC, data centre or managed services environment is preferred.
  • Good understanding of Cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Good in incident response and threat management
