AS400 Developer / System Analyst

Employment Type: 12 month contractual role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE) on AS400 (IBM i) platform
• Perform system analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Work closely with stakeholders, especially within banking/financial systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bugs, and performance concerns
• Support system integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Prepare and maintain proper system documentation
• Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in RPG / AS400 development
• Experience working in banking or financial services domain
• Strong knowledge of RPG (RPG III / IV / ILE), CL programming
• Good experience with DB2/400 and SQL
• Hands-on experience in system analysis and requirement gathering
• Familiar with SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
