Overview
We are seeking an experienced, independent, and hands-on Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our team, and drive business growth. This role requires active frontline participation and shift coverage.
Working Schedule
6-day week (Mondays to Saturdays; Rest on Sundays; PH are compulsory working days).
10 hours/day (1-hour unpaid meal break; Overtime rate paid according to MOM regulations).
Split Shift: Morning: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Afternoon: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Staff & Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and train counter/kitchen staff on recipes, brewing, and service standards. Optimize staff rosters and manage performance, appraisals, and coaching.
Operations & Customer Experience: Maintain food/beverage quality standards. Manage opening/closing, cash handling, equipment upkeep, and customer complaints.
Hands-on Shift Cover: Actively step in to cover frontline operations (cashiering, brewing, cooking, food prep) during peak hours or when staff are on leave/medical leave (MC).
Inventory & Vendor Control: Conduct regular stock checks to minimize waste. Order supplies and negotiate vendor rates to keep operational costs low.
Business Growth & Marketing: Monitor expenses, control costs, and reduce waste to improve profit margins. Execute promotions and manage social media.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations. Ensure all staff food safety certifications remain up to date.
Requirements
Experience: MUST HAVE at least 2 years of supervisory/management experience in the F&B industry.
Skills: Independent, with strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
Attributes: Business-oriented, highly organized, resilient, and fully willing to work hands-on on the floor.
