Responsibilities:
- Carry out measurements and taking-off for material ordering.
- Prepare and process material requisitions as instructed by the Construction Manager (CM).
- Monitor and verify material usage and requisition quantities submitted by subcontractors to ensure consistency with actual site requirements and approved quantities (for example: reinforcement bars, timber/plywood materials for structural works).
- Monitor and coordinate material delivery to the site to ensure timely delivery and correct items and quantities.
- Assist Cost & Contract department in procurement activities, including sourcing and obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Jointly verify subcontractors' monthly progress claims based on actual work done on site.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of main contractor progress claims.
- Verify and evaluate Variation Order (VO) works, including quantity measurement and cost assessment.
- Maintain proper records of measurements, claims, VO submissions, and material tracking.
- Liaise and coordinate closely with all the project stakeholders including the site/HQ team, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on the QS matter.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or in consultant/contractor firms in quantity surveying.
- High level of integrity.
- Working knowledge on construction methods, materials, building component and system.
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural, C&S, M&E, landscape and Infrastructure drawings. specifications pertinent to construction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
- Independence and able to meet deadlines.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
