To supervise all staff under his charge and to be responsible for the work performed by them.
Analyze and carry out diagnosis work and inform Service Advisor on the required repair work.
Advice Job Controller on problematic repair work required to be carried out having received customer information.
Supervise repairing job. Assist technician in trouble shooting and performing problems repair.
Inform SA of any delay in repairs and additional defects.
Ensure high efficiency of productive employees analyze reasons for repeat jobs.
Maintain inventory of tools and equipment (in case a parts controller is not assigned), control, order and maintain adequate inventory of oil, grease, shop supplies, cleaning equipment and material. Establish and ensure adherence to maintain schedule for service facilities, service shop vehicles and shop equipment.
Responsible to train technicians and other workshop personnel.
Establish and monitor on-the-job training programs for all productive employees and trainees.
To make full use of special tools, service equipment and training provided.
Check and review work in progress and follow up for completion as promised to the customer.
Responsible for good housekeeping of workshop floor.
Perform productive work as required.
Arrange all vehicles sent in for repairs/maintenance to the appropriate work bay for work to be carried out.
To prepare technical report, product quality reports supplement on market problems for technical department.
Responsible to test drive vehicle immediately upon completion of repairs to determine jobs are done satisfactorily and arrange vehicles to be cleaned (Quality Control check).
Determine Flat Rate Time /Productive Time of problematic repairs as necessary for purpose of Technician's incentive computation.
Responsible on technical updates to all technician & other workshop personnel.
To be responsible on all warranty repair in terms of giving authorization, determination etc to avoid rejection of warranty claim.
Any other duties assigned by the Manager - Branch.
