We are looking for a skilled Server Engineer to manage, maintain, and support the company’s server infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems. The role will be responsible for server administration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise applications within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments to ensure system stability and performance.

2.Monitor server performance, system health, and network connectivity to ensure high system availability.

3.Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain server hardware and operating systems.

4.Perform system patching, updates, and security hardening to maintain compliance with IT security standards.

5.Support server virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

6.Perform backup and disaster recovery operations to ensure data protection and business continuity.

7.Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis for server-related incidents.

8.Provide Level 2 / Level 3 technical support for server infrastructure and enterprise applications.

9.Work closely with network, security, and application teams to support system integration and deployments.

10.Maintain proper system documentation, operational procedures, and incident reports.

11.Participate in IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system implementations.

Requirements:

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in server administration or infrastructure support.

3.Experience managing Windows Server and/or Linux environments.

4.Knowledge of server virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

5.Familiar with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and system monitoring tools.

6.Experience in backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and system security practices.

7.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

8.Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

1.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

2.Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management tools.

3.Experience in enterprise environments or retail industry will be an advantage.

4.Professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, or Linux certifications are a plus.

5.Experience in Wintel.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
