About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Java Engineer – AI Agent Platform to lead the development of our AI-powered engineering ecosystem.

This role focuses on building and scaling an AI Agent Team that supports real-world product delivery through intelligent automation, multi-agent collaboration, and AI-assisted software engineering practices.

You will collaborate closely with backend, data, and infrastructure teams to integrate AI-driven workflows into existing systems while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities1. AI Agent Team Development

• Design and develop AI agent collaboration frameworks and workflows
• Build AI-driven development pipelines supporting:
• Feature development
• Automated testing
• Code generation and refactoring
• Documentation generation
• Workflow automation
• Define reusable tools, standards, and best practices for AI-driven engineering

2. Backend & Distributed Systems

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java and microservices architecture
• Integrate AI automation into:
• Backend services
• Distributed systems
• Data platforms
• Messaging systems
• Participate in system architecture and optimization discussions

3. AI Output Quality Governance

• Establish validation and governance frameworks for AI-generated outputs
• Ensure standards for:
• Code quality
• Performance
• Security
• Maintainability
• Implement:
• Code review workflows
• Automated testing
• Static code analysis
• Security scanning
• Performance monitoring

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with product managers, architects, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams
• Align on requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate cross-team technical solutions

5. AI Engineering & Innovation

• Research emerging AI engineering and agentic development tools
• Improve productivity through AI-assisted workflows
• Contribute to future AI-enabled engineering practices

RequirementsCore Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of Java development experience
• Strong experience in:
• Microservices architecture
• Distributed systems
• Multi-data-source integration
• Hands-on with:
• JPA, MyBatis
• JUnit
• REST API development

Database & Data Skills

• Experience with:
• Oracle (11g / 12c)
• MySQL or other RDBMS
• Strong SQL writing and optimization skills

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
