Job Responsibility :-
1. Inventory Control
- Checking of stock par level both manually and by system.
- Creating Purchase Requisitions for items that are of low stock and need to be replenished.
- Following up with the suppliers to ensure stock(s) delivery.
- Performing receiving via system and arranging stock(s) according to storage requirements.
- Troubleshooting any inventory related problems.
2. Outpatient Dispensing
- Screening of prescription for accuracy.
- Preparing and labelling of medications accurately.
- Charging the medications ordered on the prescriptions accordingly.
- Double checking the accuracy of the medications prepared.
- Dispensing the medications to the patients.
- Counselling the patients on medications and device usage.
3. In-patient Dispensing
- Screening of in-patient prescriptions for accuracy.
- Preparing and labelling of medications accurately.
- Charging the medications ordered on the prescriptions accordingly.
- Double checking the accuracy of the medications prepared.
- Dispensing the medications to the nurses and patients through bedside dispensing.
- Counselling the patients on device usage.
4. Chemotherapeutic Reconstitution
- Screening the prescription for accuracy.
- Preparing and labelling of the medications required
- Preparation of the worksheet for the patient
- Reconstitution of the medications under the Laminar Airflow Cabinet
- Dispensing the finished product to the nurses.
- Cleaning and disinfection of the Laminar Airflow Cabinet
5. Stock Management
- Transferring stocks to other sub-stores and vice versa.
- Providing barcodes (if available) for the sub-stores to enable the charging of medications
- Participate in yearly general stock take as well as departmental stock takes as deemed necessary.
- Circulate stocks accordingly to reduce wastage due to expiry.
6. Expiry Management
- Compiling expiry report for write-off
- Verifying the expired items with the documentation
- Disposing the expired items
7. Compounding
- Preparing simple dosage forms such as syrups for patients or any external products when required.
- Preparation of labels for compounded preparations.
8. Miscellaneous
- To supervise and check the work of pharmacists, technicians and other staff as required (when deemed competent).
- To assist in the training of pharmacy staff and other professional staff as required.
- To ensure that statutory requirements are met at all times and comply with ISO, MSQH, JCI standards on he policies and procedures as directed by the Head of Pharmacy Services.
- To attend relevant training courses as appropriate.
- To undertake other reasonable duties within the framework of the post as directed by the Head of Pharmacy Services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
