Our client is a fast-moving mobile/social game studio building a title designed to be played, shared, and obsessed over. They're hiring a 2D Animator to bring the game to life — the kind of animator who knows that a perfectly-timed emote can be worth more than a thousand words (and a fair bit of revenue).

About the Role

Stickers, emotes, win cutscenes, player reactions — your animations are the product moments players screenshot, share, and pay for. You'll work closely with the technical artist to ship assets that feel punchy, expressive, and unmistakably alive on a small screen.

What You'll Do

• Animate stickers and emotes — looping, expressive, full of personality
• Create 5–7 second win cutscenes that feel rewarding and shareable
• Animate player interactions (throwing items, reactions, emotes between players)
• Ensure all animations are smooth, punchy, and optimised for mobile
• Partner with the technical artist to integrate assets cleanly in-game

What We're Looking For

• Strong animation fundamentals — timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation
• A real knack for funny, expressive, meme-able work
• Solid experience with looping animations (this one matters a lot)
• Sharp comedic timing and a feel for impact
• Comfortable working fast and iterating on feedback

Tools & Skills

• Proficient in After Effects, Spine, Live2D, or similar
• Bonus: Unity animation integration experience
• Bonus: Basic rigging knowledge

What Success Looks Like

• Players spam your emotes for the sheer joy of it
• Animations feel satisfying, addictive, and worth showing off
• Your assets visibly move the needle on conversion and repeat purchases
