Role Description
SK8 Engineering is seeking a full-time Assembly Coordinator to manage and oversee assembly operations for our acoustic enclosure solutions. Based on-site in Johor Baharu, the role involves coordinating manufacturing processes, ensuring quality control standards, and supporting production teams to meet project deadlines. The Assembly Coordinator will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze operational workflows, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor daily assembly activities to ensure smooth production operations.
- Plan manpower allocation and work schedules to meet project timelines and production targets.
- Ensure assembly work is carried out according to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Liaise with production, fabrication, QA/QC, warehouse, and project teams for material and workflow coordination.
- Monitor assembly progress and prepare daily or weekly production reports.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available before assembly work begins.
- Identify and resolve assembly or production issues to minimize delays and downtime.
- Conduct inspections to ensure completed assemblies meet safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for assembly records, work instructions, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and workplace regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Assist supervisors or managers with other operational tasks when required.
Qualification:
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, or coordination role.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and engineering drawings.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and quality standards in manufacturing environment.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Good attendance, discipline, and work attitude.
- Experience in engineering or fabrication industry will be an added advantage.
