Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Manage risk-based audit assignments/project/activities focusing on MAHB's technical areas, i.e. airports operations, IT, engineering, project management, contract management, etc in discharging an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity from the planning stage up to the issuance of reports within the allocated time and ensure audit work/task performed is in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Lead and perform a broad range of audit engagements for the Group’s diverse operations (assurance and consulting).
• Apply risk management and assurance principles to the planning and delivery of audit assignments at both operational and strategic client level.
• Maintain an awareness of the potential of fraud when conducting an engagement.
• Planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of field audit assignments within the time allocated.
• Maintain and monitor the quality of audit reports and working papers in accordance with auditing standards.
  • Recommend strategic audit findings on:
  • management issues;
  • corporate governance;
  • risk management.
• Responsible for follow-up and monitoring of audit recommendations.
• Responsible for performance appraisals of engagement staff.
• Responsible for any other ad hoc assignments.

Key Challenges

• To ensure strategic alignment of audit skills to business acumen, global perspective, governance expertise and technology (staff development).
• To promote Internal Audit as a business partner to the management.
• To employ COSO, COBIT and risk intelligence as the de-facto standards to which risk-based planning, audits and reviews are planned.
  

Skills

• Strong technical internal audit skills and knowledge of internal control, risk management, and governance processes
• Familiar with major business processes, IT, Engineering, Contract Management, Project Management, Airport Operations, etc
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good leadership, interpersonal, Google Workspace skills and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• High level of ethics and integrity

Education

• Degree preferably in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or others (Professional Certification, i.e. Professional Engineer (IR), Professional Surveyor (SR), etc; Master degree would be an added advantage)

Relevant Industries

• Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience.

Unique Requirement

• Member of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) (would be an added advantage)
• Member of ISACA (would be an added advantage)
• Professional Certification of CIA, CISA, Engineering Board, Quantity Survey Board, Project Management, etc
