Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Quality Lead to support a Data Warehouse migration project (Netezza). This role will lead data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of migrated data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3–4 data quality analysts/engineers
• Define and implement data validation and reconciliation rules
• Perform data quality checks:

o Record count validation

o Checksums / hash totals

o Field-level validation

• Compare source and target data to identify discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve data issues with ETL and business teams
• Support SIT, UAT, and post-migration validation activities
• Prepare data quality reports and track issues to closure
• Ensure data meets agreed quality standards before sign-off

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Data Quality role
• Experience leading a small team (3–4 members)
• Strong experience with databases (Oracle, Netezza, MS SQL)
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis
• Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks
• Experience in Data Warehouse / data migration projects
• Familiar with handling large datasets and data comparison techniques

Nice to Have

• Banking or financial services experience
• Experience working in vendor/project-based environments
• Exposure to data quality tools or frameworks
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python)
• Understanding of data governance and data quality standards

Pay: RM5,602.93 - RM15,890.31 per month
