About the Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop and maintain end-to-end web applications – including AI- and data-driven solutions – that support public-sector digital services in Singapore’s social services ecosystem.

You will join a multi-disciplinary digital and technology team delivering secure, scalable applications that support policy, operations and service delivery. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and operational needs into reliable, secure and compliant technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

•       Design, develop and maintain full-stack web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.

•       Build and enhance chat-based user interfaces and the supporting backend services.

•       Develop APIs and application logic that support business workflows and system integrations.

•       Implement and customise LLM-powered applications (Generative AI use cases).

•       Deploy and support applications on AWS – including Lambda, API Gateway, S3 and DynamoDB.

•       Apply security, access-control and logging best practices across the stack.

•       Create and maintain technical documentation for application design, deployment and operations.

Must-Have Requirements

•       Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

•       3–5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering or full-stack development.

•       Proficiency in frontend development with React and TypeScript.

•       Proficiency in backend development with Python and/or Node.js.

•       Experience working with REST APIs and modern authentication mechanisms.

•       Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB.

•       Solid understanding of application security, access controls and logging.

•       Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.

Nice to Have

•       AWS Cloud certification (e.g. AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect Associate).

•       AI- or LLM-related certifications or hands-on experience with Generative AI tools.

•       Prior experience delivering Singapore Government / public-sector projects.
