About CitiSafe
Founded in 2007, CitiSafe Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based specialist in gas detection systems, occupational safety equipment, and calibration services. From our Woodlands facility, we serve customers across Singapore and Southeast Asia in industries where safety is non-negotiable — Oil & Gas, Fire & Hazmat, Industrial, Environmental, and Commercial sectors.
As the authorised partner for leading global brands including Honeywell RAE Systems, Blackline Safety, Bacharach, OHD, and Trolex, we deliver end-to-end solutions covering sales, rental, calibration, servicing, and consultancy.
In April 2026, CitiSafe was acquired by Safe Monitoring Group AB (SMG), a European leader in gas detection manufacturing and safety services. This marks SMG’s first presence in the Asia-Pacific region and the beginning of an exciting new growth chapter for our team.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the full set of accounts for a growing SME, with hands-on exposure across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, GST, and month-end closing.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to be a hands-on contributor in a lean team, and is keen to grow with a company entering a new regional growth phase under European ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payments, receipts, and journal entries accurately and on time.
- Issue customer invoices, monitor incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts professionally.
- Perform monthly bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and prepare supporting schedules for month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist with quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with IRAS requirements.
- Support external audit by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain organised accounting records and filing (digital and hardcopy) in line with statutory retention requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Service) on billing, costing, and payment matters.
- Provide ad-hoc finance and administrative support as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably handling full sets of accounts in an SME environment.
- Working knowledge of Singapore GST and basic statutory reporting requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and accounting software.
- Hands-on experience with Xero or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / Navision is a strong advantage.
- Meticulous, organised, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
- A team player with good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
Why Join CitiSafe
- Purposeful work — Be part of a company whose mission contributes directly to safer workplaces across the region.
- Broader exposure — As part of a lean Finance team, you’ll gain end-to-end visibility across the accounting cycle, rather than being boxed into a narrow function.
- Stability with momentum — Nearly two decades of trusted operations in Singapore, now backed by a European parent and entering a new APAC growth phase.
- Genuine team culture — Friendly, collaborative, and supportive work environment where your contribution is recognised.
- Long-term career path — Opportunities to grow alongside the business as it expands regionally under Safe Monitoring Group.
