Job Summary
This position supports the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the finance department. He/she is involved in work that is specific to accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, billing, or other accounting tasks. In some instances, he/she may work specifically with accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalization of accounts for audit purposes. The Finance Executive may also assist with the preparation of trial balance, basic financial statements and simple consolidated financial statements. He/She may be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end processing & reviewing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Maintain billing records and perform account reconciliations and Conduct regular reconciliations of financial data (e.g. daily sales report, POS, credit card statements etc) and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into accounting software or spreadsheets, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
- Support in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions, contracts, and supporting documents for easy retrieval.
- Any other duties arises.
Role Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in an accounting role is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software Xero and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Attention to Detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile discrepancies.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with different departments and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
