Education

• Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Educational Psychology, or a related field.

• PhD in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in higher education or early childhood education settings.

• Experience supervising teaching practicum and student projects is preferred.

• Industry experience in preschools, childcare centres, or educational institutions will be an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of child development theories and early childhood education practices.

• Familiarity with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) standards and Outcome-Based Education (OBE).

• Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong academic writing and research capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Teaching and Learning

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions in Early Childhood Education and related subjects.

• Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources.

• Conduct classes using effective and student-centred teaching methodologies.

• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, projects, and practicum assessments.

• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral support to students.

• Supervise students during teaching practicum, internships, and field placements.

Curriculum Development

• Develop, review, and update programme curricula in accordance with institutional standards and accreditation requirements.

• Participate in programme accreditation, quality assurance, and academic audits.

• Ensure course content remains current with developments in early childhood education practices and policies.

Research and Scholarly Activities

• Engage in research, publications, and scholarly activities related to education and early childhood development.

• Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and academic forums.

• Apply for research grants and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Academic Administration

• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic activities.

• Maintain accurate student records and academic documentation.

• Assist in examination management, moderation, and quality assurance processes.

• Support student recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives.

Industry and Community Engagement

• Establish and maintain relationships with schools, childcare centres, and relevant industry partners.

• Participate in community outreach and professional development activities.

• Promote the institution through academic and public engagement activities.

Other Duties

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department, Dean, or Management from time to time.
