The Kazan

Inspired by Japanese culture, the world’s first pocket toast was first born in Chiang Mai, Thailand by “THE VOLCANO”. The inspiration of this masterpiece was derived from the childhood family recipe for French Toast. The owners later discovered that The Volcano customers prefers to have cheesy toppings with the toast. Hence, the owners developed a recipe where their customers could incorporate the bread and cheese into a menu where their customers could stretch the cheese to their enjoyment - the outcome being the world’s first Pocket Cheese Toast was born and introduced in the market.

Our brand motto is to bring a Unique Experience to our customer to enjoy the Great Taste of products that made from with the Best Ingredients. Apart from uniqueness, Fun is also part of the DNA of the brand where customers will feel the joyfulness throughout their experience with our product and environment.

Due to the overwhelming response from the market, we have also expanded into other forms of toasts - Cream Toast & Fruit Toast to bring overall brand experience to the next level. Creativity can be seen everywhere from our menu, packaging and up to store experience. Today, The Volcano have stepped into the international market and Malaysia is the first nation to be able to enjoy this fantastic dessert without you flying over to Chiang Mai, Thailand. In order to showcase our love to Malaysian in a unique way, we have decided to use “THE KAZAN” to serve everyone of you especially dessert lovers. “Kazan” translates to volcano in Japanese language to reflect the original inspiration for this brand.
