Worked for a company for one full year, and was verbally promised to have increment but no updates whatsoever until this day. Should I bring this matter up to the management?

Before officially employed to the current job, I was verbally promised by the Director that there will be an increment on a yearly basis. It's been one full year and yet there isn't any news. Should I bring the matter up to them to discuss about it? Or maybe if I should ask, if it's okay to bring it up?
