Requirements
- 0–2 years video editing experience (fresh grads welcome)
- Proficient in CapCut (Premiere Pro or DaVinci a plus)
- Hands-on experience with AI tools — ChatGPT (images) and Grok or Gemini Veo (video)
- Comfortable writing detailed prompts for AI generation
- Basic camera operation for assisting on shoots
- Strong sense of pacing and hook-building for short-form
- Based in Klang Valley — remote but available for KL shoots
- Fast turnaround, can hit weekly deadlines
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Malaysian TikTok/IG content trends
- Motion graphics or After Effects skills
- Basic audio recording knowledge (lav mics, handheld recorders)
- Familiar with TikTok affiliate or Shopee Live content workflows
Responsibilities
We're hiring a full-time (remote, Klang Valley-based) Video Editor who can edit traditional footage AND generate videos using AI tools. You'll work across both brands — supporting our senior creators on PopLokal lifestyle shoots and producing faceless AI-generated videos for eCentral.
What You'll Do
- Edit short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) for eCentral and Poplokal — taking finished footage from our shooters and turning it around quickly
- Produce faceless AI videos independently: generate images with ChatGPT, animate with Grok or Gemini Veo, edit in CapCut
- Assist our creators on outdoor KL shoots — handle B-roll, audio, basic camera operation
- Add captions, sound design, music, and motion graphics
- Free up senior creators by owning the editing backlog
- Maintain brand consistency across both brands
