The Lorry Driver is responsible for transporting construction materials, machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to various project sites as assigned by the Company. The role includes ensuring timely delivery, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and condition, complying with road safety regulations, and supporting site logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company lorry/vehicle to transport construction materials, equipment, machinery parts, and other related items to various project sites and suppliers.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed according to schedule and instructions provided by the Company.
• Load and unload materials where required and ensure goods are properly secured during transportation.
• Verify delivery items against Delivery Orders (DO), invoices, or other supporting documents before and after delivery.
• Obtain acknowledgement/chop/signature from site personnel or customers upon delivery completion and return relevant documents to the office promptly.
• Conduct daily inspection of vehicle condition including engine oil, tyres, brakes, battery, lights, and general cleanliness.
• Report immediately to management regarding any accident, vehicle breakdown, traffic summons, or maintenance issue.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in good working condition and arrange servicing as instructed by the Company.
• Comply with all road transport laws, safety regulations, company policies, and site safety requirements at all times.
• Assist in collecting materials, spare parts, or documents from suppliers, workshops, stores, or project sites when required.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely arrival and minimise transportation delays.
• Ensure fuel cards, Touch ’n Go cards, receipts, and vehicle-related documents are properly managed and recorded.
• Support general site logistics or operational duties as instructed by the superior from time to time.
• Maintain proper conduct, discipline, and professionalism while representing the Company at project sites and public areas.

Requirements

• Possess valid GDL driving license and competent driving license.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in lorry driving, preferably in construction industry.
• Familiar with Klang Valley and surrounding areas/routes.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, or travel outstation when required.
• Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading tasks.
• Good attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
• No serious traffic offences or criminal records.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Monday to Saturday
• Working hours subject to Company operational requirements and site schedule.

Additional Notes

• Driver shall be responsible for any negligence, misuse, or unauthorised use of company vehicle.
• The Company reserves the right to assign additional duties related to transportation, logistics, or site support as and when necessary.
