The Manufacturing Bakery Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the maintenance operations of a bakery production facility. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, managing a maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, and complying with food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program: Create and execute a proactive maintenance schedule to minimize equipment breakdowns and optimize production efficiency.
• Manage maintenance team: Recruit, train, and lead a skilled maintenance team to effectively address equipment issues and repairs.
• Oversee maintenance activities: Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
• Budget management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including cost control and resource allocation.
• Equipment reliability: Monitor equipment performance and implement strategies to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Spare parts inventory: Manage spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and optimize costs.
• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Vendor management: Manage relationships with external maintenance service providers and contractors.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze maintenance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost analysis.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
