Position : Asia Pacific Intelligence Analyst

Industry : Oil & Gas (Shared Service)

Location: The Horizon, Bangsar South City, No. 8, Jalan Kerinchi, 59200 Kuala Lumpur

Working Hours : Monday - Friday (8 – 5 PM or 9 – 6 PM)

Employment Type: 12 Month Contract with PERSOL - possible extension upon business approval

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (60/40)

Salary range : RM10,000 - RM13200 (based on experience & qualification)

About the Role

As an Asia Pacific Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering strategic geopolitical and security insights, helping the business assess risks, identify opportunities, and ensure operational resilience across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collect, analyze, and deliver security intelligence insights across Asia Pacific
• Monitor and assess geopolitical, security, and operational risks (terrorism, crime, regional conflict)
• Partner with regional security teams to support risk mitigation strategies
• Produce high-quality reports, briefings, and intelligence assessments
• Utilize data analytics & AI tools to enhance intelligence outputs
• Leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools and methodologies
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate insights effectively
• Respond flexibly to emerging crises and time-sensitive developments

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in relevant field (preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in intelligence, security, geopolitical analysis, or risk advisory
• Experience assessing threats and advising on security/intelligence matters
• Exposure within retail and/or energy industry is an added advantage
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
• Comfortable using data, AI tools, and data visualization for analysis
• Excellent report writing, briefing, and communication skills
• Experience with OSINT tools and intelligence gathering techniques
• Strong understanding of geopolitical and security trends across Asia Pacific Knowledge in traditional security domains including: Terrorism, Crime, Geopolitical risks, Regional conflicts & Security threats
• Ability to work flexibly during crisis or urgent situations when required
