About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef Breakfast to join the culinary team at DELI BROS SDN. BHD. in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional breakfast experiences to our valued guests. As Chef Breakfast, you will be responsible for leading breakfast service operations, managing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role is integral to setting the tone for our guests' day and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Planning, preparing and cooking a diverse range of breakfast items, including hot and cold dishes, pastries, and beverages

  2. Overseeing the breakfast service from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of meals

  3. Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in all food preparation areas

  4. Managing breakfast kitchen inventory, ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels

  5. Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff on breakfast preparation techniques and service standards

  6. Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction

  7. Creating innovative breakfast menu items whilst adhering to seasonal availability and cost considerations

  8. Ensuring all plating and presentation meets the establishment's quality standards

  9. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the breakfast preparation area and equipment

  10. Responding to special dietary requirements and guest requests with professionalism and creativity

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Chef or Cook, with substantial breakfast service experience in a hotel, resort or high-volume hospitality setting

  2. Proven expertise in preparing a wide variety of breakfast cuisines, including continental, Asian, and speciality breakfast items

  3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes and kitchen hygiene standards

  4. Excellent culinary skills with proficiency in various cooking techniques and food preparation methods

  5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak breakfast service hours

  6. Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen team members

  7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  8. Creative mindset with the ability to innovate menu items and improve service offerings

  9. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues

  10. Flexibility to work early morning shifts and occasional weekend duties as required

  11. Formal culinary training or relevant certifications in food preparation preferred
