Job Overview
This role is to ensure smooth and efficient daily store operations across all departments. The role focuses on maintaining accurate system data, price integrity, and stock information, ensuring alignment between system records and physical store conditions.
By supporting pricing accuracy, inventory control, and merchandising execution, this role helps to maximize sales, reduce out-of-stock and overstock situations, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Price Integrity & POP Card / Shelf Tag Management
- Review daily price change updates issued by HQ Merchandising and ensure all POP cards and shelf tags are updated accurately and promptly.
- Replace and manage all promotional tags, ensuring correct implementation for both start and end of promotions.
- Ensure all displayed prices match system pricing at all times.
- Report completion status and highlight any discrepancies to the Supervisor or Manager.
2. System Accuracy & OOS (Out-of-Stock) Management
- Conduct daily checks on shelves and displays to ensure all tags and POP cards comply with SOP and system data.
- Perform random price verification using HHT Mobile to ensure consistency between system price and displayed price.
- Monitor OOS items and verify that system quantities are accurate (e.g. zero stock reflected correctly).
- Generate stock movement reports for discrepancies and escalate to the Supervisor for further action.
3. Merchandising & Store Execution Support
- Ensure shelves are consistently replenished and products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards.
- Work closely with store staff to ensure stock from the backroom is pushed to the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Identify and address gaps between system stock and actual shelf availability to support sales performance.
4. Inventory Control & Stock Ordering Support
- Assist the Supervisor in placing stock orders based on system data, stock levels, and sales movement.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure stock is accurately received and replenished on the sales floor.
- Support accuracy of inventory records to maintain smooth store operations.
5. Weekly Stock Variance & Reconciliation
- Perform stock counts based on QOH reports, especially for items with negative or abnormal quantities.
- Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Compile and report findings to the Grocery Supervisor and support corrective actions.
6. Monthly Slow-Moving Stock Review
- Conduct monthly checks on slow-moving or aging stock (over 3 months) through both system data and physical inspection.
- Verify carton date coding and ensure proper stock rotation practices are followed.
- Report any issues such as missing date coding, overstock, or dead stock to the Supervisor or Store Manager.
7. Backup Cashier Support
- Act as a backup cashier when required, especially during peak hours, staff shortages, or high customer traffic periods.
- Ensure accurate handling of cash transactions, including billing, payments, and issuing receipts in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in maintaining smooth front-end operations by supporting queue management and minimizing customer waiting time.
- Perform basic cashier duties such as cash float verification, balancing transactions, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, internal controls, and security procedures while handling cash and POS systems.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
